What is the recognition status of Jagannath University ?
Jagan Nath University has been established in the year 2008, by an Act (Act No. 19 of 2008) of the Rajasthan State Legislature and is approved under section 2(f) of UGC Act 1956 vested with the authority to award Degrees, Diplomas and Certificates. The University has been established to cater to the growing needs of higher education in the country. One of the primary objectives of the University is to produce trained manpower to accelerate sustained economic growth in a highly competitive global environment.

What is the difference between Private and Govt. University ?
All Universities whether they are Private or Govt. are established through proper legislation and are duly recognized by UGC. Private Universities are funded by the Education Trusts/ Societies whereas Government Universities are funded by the Government.
Degrees granted by both are equally valid for seeking jobs or pursuing higher education.

Are the Distance Learning degrees granted by the Jagannath University are recognized by DEC, UGC and AICTE ?
Yes, the degree offered by our University are duly recognized by the joint committee of DEC + UGC + AICTE.  

Why, I should pursue any programme from your University ?

When I complete any Distance Learning Program from your University do I get any placement assistance ?
Yes, the University provides placement assistance to the students who have successfully completed their programme through University Placement Cell. The placement cell aims at bringing corporate luminaries and student community together in intellectually stimulating and mutually beneficial interaction that forms the basis of firm and staunch relationship. The University’s enviable reputation for excellence in management education makes it a natural choice for recruiters from the world’s best and largest firms. Some of the companies who are regular recruiters – Birlasoft, Bosch, HDFC, IBM, Tech Mahindra, Vodafone, Wipro etc.

Do, the University organize Workshop, Seminars for the student personality development ?
Yes, the Jagannath University organize Workshop and Seminars for the benefit of the student. These Seminars and Workshop are to strength the student skills, knowledge and also to keep them update on the latest development and changes in the Macro & Micro Environment.

What is the method of Evaluation ?
Continuous evaluation in the form of periodic assignments and written examination, this component carries a weightage of 30% for assignment and 70% marks for written examination. Assignments for each course are to be submitted to the Coordinator of the Jagannath University.

What is the benefit of case studies in Distance Learning Programme ?
The case studies used in our program are developed from on the job situations and practical issues faced by the executives working in any organization. These cases studies will help student to learn key management concepts through their application in a business context.
Example, through a case study on Bajaj Hindustan, student will get to know about different areas of operation in sugar industry and also student will come to know about global economic conditions prevailing in the industry. The case method enables you to think and learn in a multi-dimensional manner under simulated conditions. It requires you to analyze a problem and take appropriate decisions.

After completion of Master Degree programme from your University, can I pursue Ph.D programme ?
The eligibility criterion for enrolling in Ph.D. varies from University to University. The Jagannath University includes our DLP, MBA programme in its eligibility criteria for enrolling in its Ph.D. programme.

Do, I need to pay the examination fee ?
Yes, the examination fee is to be paid separately as and when the student is eligible and register for the examinations. The fee is Rs. 300/- for the post graduate programme and Rs. 200/- for under graduate programme. The fee is subject to change from time to time. Students will be informed of the payment revisions through-emails, student regulations, etc. The students are required to pay the fee as may be prevalent in the relevant academic year.

Do, Jagannath University provide contact class ?
Yes, the University provides  contact class but it will be held solely at the discretion of the University, subject to a minimum 10 students registering per subject.

Do, you offer dual specialization in the MBA Programm ?
Yes, the Jagannath University offers dual specialization after completion of Four Semester.

In which area your University offer specialization in MBA Programme ?
Marketing, Finance, Human Resource, Information Technology, International Business, Retail and Hospital Administration.

Is there any subject waiver ?
Yes, exemption in particulars subject is given to the students only if the students has studied and the pass the same subject in any previous qualification which is at par with the course in which student is enrolled.

Do, you provided lateral entry for the student who has completed the PGDCA Programme ?
Yes, the student can enrolled in second year of our Distance Learning MCA programme ,  University has given exemption of one year to the student who has completed the PGDCA programme and is interested in pursuing MCA programme form Jagannath University.

Do, the University provide any Model Question paper?
 Yes, the Model Question paper with suggested answers based on the examination pattern is available on the website. (student login)

What kind of web support your University provide ?
The Jagan nath University provide 24 × 7 Web support to the enrolled student.
Following are the services :-

·              Media room: Press Releases, Press Clippings.
·              Online Feedback facility.
·              Online facility for change of password, change of e-mail, reporting, non-receipt of courseware, mobile number updation / registration, comprehensive feedback, general queries, student feedback etc.
·              Update on important information on contact classes, pending fee payment, examination schedule, test centers, etc.

What is the programme structure of your University ?
The programme structure is divided in semester i.e. in one year student can appear for two semester. The programme structure of the University is design in such a flexible manner  that the student can pursue the same at anytime anywhere,

How many time in a year University conducts examination ?
The Jagannath University conducts examination twice in the year i.e. January and June for the students who is enrolled in Distance Learning Programme.

What is the method of fee payment ?
The Jagannath University has given two options to the student for the fee payment, one is semester wise payment and other is lumpsum payment.

Do, the University gave any benefit in paying the lumpsum fee amount ?
Yes, there is fee relaxation given to the students those who opt for the lumpsum mode of payment. The fee is subject to change from time to time. Students will be informed of the payment revisions through-emails, student’s regulations, etc. The students are required to pay the fee as may be prevalent in the relevant academic year.

Do, companies consider Distance Learning Degree for employment/job ?
Employers do not discriminate against any candidates whether they have done any programme either on full-time basis or distance learning mode. The degree awarded by the Jagannath University under either mode is equally valid. The past track record of the candidates as well as their experience and soft skills are also considered by the employers for recruitment. The DLP program of Jagannath University focuses on knowledge and skills required by any professionals who plan to work for Indian and multinational corporations. The program provides the students with a general management perspective and introduces them to the latest concepts and practices related to functional areas of management. Moreover, placement workshops are also conducted for our students so that they get the required skills in group discussion, resume writing, presentation and interviews.

What are the documents are need to submit along with the application form ?
Following documents need to be submit :-
(i)                Application form for enrollment into the program with recent color photograph affixed.
(ii)             Copy of Certificates of Date of Birth
(iii)           Copies of Educational Qualifications/Mark Sheets.
(iv)           Fee Remittance Form.
(v)              Demand Draft/Credit Card Merchant Slip (wherever applicable) towards the payment.
