“Info-graphics in news force major impact on audience” : Vikram Dutt

Graphics and illustrations increase the value of news and they make a greater impact on reader’s mind.  Infographics force the reader to think and then react for particular news. Vikram Dutt, an eminent documentary film maker was speaking in inaugural session of workshop onInfographics and design in newspaper layout and Model making in 3D Animation organized by Faculty of Mass Communication, Jagan Nath University and BIG AIMS, Jaipur centre  today. 

In this workshop, first session was conducted by Ashutosh Roy, senior creative designer, on layout and designing. He said now a days with the changing media scenario, newspapers had became trendy and experimentation with news presentation is the trend in action. A graphic designer increases the value and impact of news by creating supporting visuals for the news. 

He also told students that there is a huge demand for creative and out of box thinkers who can present the news in innovative way keeping the elements of news intact. He explained various concepts and ideas of newspaper layout and designing and page makeup.
In second session, Dr. Dheeraj interacted with students regarding importance of model making in 3D animation. He also made model by using thermo coal for better understanding of students. He said with the help of model of desired character, it is much easier to animate the character on computer with more details.


This interactive workshop help the students to have more insight and details about the field and how to perform better, said Nishant Taneja, Director, Reliance BIG AIMS, Jaipur Centre in his vote of thanks. Earlier, guests were welcomed by presenting flower bouquets by Dr. Sanjay Mishra, HOD, Faculty of Mass communication, Jagannath University and Piyush Sharma, Centre Head, BIG AIMS. The workshop was attended by students of various institutes with some graphic designers and creative people from field.
