The students of “Silver Lining”, the social service club of the School of Architecture, Jagannath University, Jaipur, in collaboration with an N.G.O , “keep planting” organized a tree plantation campaign in the college campus on the 11th of September, 2012 . Professor Ar. Abishek Shrivastava , HOD Er. Mayank Varshney and student Ms. Shweta Chanchalani were instrumental in organizing
this awareness campaign. The campaign included the planting of various trees like neem, ashoka, har-shringar etc. and 85 trees of these kinds were planted on different parts of the campus. Trees are vital to human survival and their depleting numbers causes a great source of concern for the generations to come. The occasion provided the future architects, the platform to exhibit their profound concern for a greener, brighter and above all a healthier tomorrow.
